| After Pensylvania we spent a couple of days in Washington, here we visited a number of America's most familiar sites, including this, the Whitehouse, where the President of the USA lives. We were there just after the US election and I got to sign a note of congratulations to Barack Obama who had won the election a couple of days before. As far as I could see there were not many well wishes from overseas, let alone from travelling bears so I guess my congratulations were unique. | |||||||||||
